Postpartum recovery has its ups and downs. The Difrax LOVI Thermo gel pads provide relief when you need it, whether warm or cold.

Used cold, the pads help with swelling and sensitivity after childbirth. This includes discomfort after a perineal tear, with hemorrhoids, or after a C-section. Used warm, they support you with uterine cramps, also known as afterpains. Their flexible shape conforms to your body, allowing you to discreetly wear the pads in your underwear or on your belly.

You can cool the pads in the refrigerator or freezer and safely heat them in the microwave. The included disposable covers protect your skin and ensure hygienic use. After use, you can store the pads and reuse them.

Safe use

Never place a hot or cold pack directly on your skin, especially not straight from the microwave or freezer. Always use a disposable cover and check the temperature before use. Don't have a cover handy? Then wrap the pad in a cotton cloth or nappy.

Using warm

Place one gel pad flat in the microwave, so not folded or creased. Heat for 20 seconds at 385 W or 25 seconds at 600 W. Check the temperature: the pad should be warm, not hot. Not warm enough yet? Then heat for an additional 5 seconds. Dry the pad and apply it in a cover to the painful area.

Heating in water is also possible. Bring water to a boil and remove the pan from the heat source. Then immerse the pad for 2 to 3 minutes, for example with tongs. Do not leave the pad unattended and keep it away from the bottom of the pan.

Using cold

Place the gel pad in the freezer at -18 °C for 2 hours. Dry the pad and place it in a disposable cover. Wear the pad for a maximum of 20 minutes at a time and do not use it longer than recommended.

Warning

Check the pad for damage or leakage before each use and do not use it if it is damaged. Never place a frozen pad in the microwave and never place a warm pad in the freezer. Store the pads in a cool, dry place.

Place the gel pad in the freezer at -18 °C for 2 hours. Afterwards, dry it off and insert it into a disposable sleeve to protect your skin. Wear the pad for a maximum of 20 minutes at a time.
