Tips for the holidays
Vacations are a time most people look forward to. It's a time when many families travel abroad or enjoy a getaway within their own country. Quality time with the family!
When you're out and about with little ones, you quickly discover that you need a good dose of organizational talent, a bit of creativity, and flexibility. Planning is nice, but things usually don't work out that way.
To help you get started, we have put together a number of tips for you.
In the car
- Prevent toys from falling on the floor in the car? Or what if the pacifier gets lost? Attach toys and the pacifier to a pacifier clip.
- Need a table for your kids to play? Use a tray. It's inexpensive and convenient for your lap. A tray easily stows away under the chair and takes up minimal space.

Nice outside
- When you're out for a walk with your baby in the stroller and the sun is shining, use a parasol instead of a muslin cloth or other type of cover to protect the stroller from the sun. A parasol provides ample air circulation and sun protection. A cover can limit the amount of fresh air in the stroller because the sides are closed, restricting the baby's breathing space.
- A travel cot is ideal for letting your little one sleep and play safely outdoors. To protect your child from mosquitoes and the sun, you can drape a thin sheet over the top of the cot. Make sure the sides of the travel cot remain completely uncovered. This allows for optimal air circulation through the netted sides of the cot.
Day at the beach
- Create a space where your little one doesn't have to sit in the sand while playing or sleeping with the classic fitted sheet trick! Place a large object in each corner to keep the corners up. This way, you can enjoy the beach together without a care in the world!
