The XS Dosing Teat is a 3-position teat specially developed for the very youngest. The nutritional needs of premature babies or babies with feeding problems can vary greatly. For children for whom an S-sized bottle teat is still too fast, and for premature babies, the XS Dosing Teat is a suitable bottle teat. This allows you to adjust the drinking speed to your child's needs. Position 1 = XXS Position 2 = XS Position 3 = S.
With the included 1-2-3 Ring Natural, you position the XS Dosing Teat on the S-bottles. The included green ring ensures that the bottle teat can rotate in the bottle teat ring. To change the position, slightly loosen the dosing ring from the S-bottle. Then turn the teat so that the desired position on the teat (I, II or III) is under the nose. Now you can tighten the ring again and continue with the feeding.
The XS teat is made of extra soft silicone. At the top of the teat there is an S-shaped slit through which thin food is dispensed. After purchase and before each feeding, check that the S-slit is open and not sticking together. By squeezing the top of the bottle teat with your thumb and forefinger, the silicone material will separate. The XS Dosing Teat is now ready for use.

joost (The Netherlands) Ok so some teat size was not the right one for your baby, does that mean that the product gets one star because it's garbage, or that different babies need different teats? I especially don't understand the person who wrote that this is a bad product and that another size is much better because her baby can drink better from it. Come on people, can you think beyond your particular situation for one second and see that it's the other way around for other reviewers? Would you go on a shoe shop website and rate all sizes one star except the one that fits you? I have a lot of respect for the calm and friendly reactions by difrax and for one I'll say that they sell quality products in a variety that should cover many different situations, and for a reasonable price. Thanks guys, keep up the good work.

Advice
The 1-2-3 bottle teat should have a slit in it. If you only see 2 holes, it could be that the silicone material is still sticking together from being new. Pinch the top of the bottle teat with your thumb and forefinger. This should separate the silicone material. Now the dosing teat will work properly!

Which bottle teat do I choose?
The best Difrax teat for you depends on your baby's preferences. Difrax offers three types of teats:
- NaturalSoft-coated teats for the Natural baby bottle. These narrow, nipple-shaped teats most closely resemble a mother's breast and are therefore the most widely accepted. The soft coating provides extra grip, helping your baby keep the teat in their mouth. The Natural teats fit the Natural S-bottles.
- DentalTeats for the Natural baby bottle. The Dental teat is suitable for babies with reflux, babies who are prone to choking, babies who drink too quickly, or premature babies. The Dental teat has a flat side, which allows the formula to spread more evenly in the mouth. This prevents choking and allows your baby to control their feeding. The Dental teats fit the Natural S-bottles.
- WideSoft-coated teats for the Wide baby bottle. These wide teats are best suited for babies who prefer to open their mouths wider. This is also known as a wide-latch preference. The soft coating provides extra grip, helping your baby keep the teat in their mouth more securely. The Wide teat fits the Difrax Anti-Colic Wide S bottles (200 ml and 310 ml).
If you don't yet know your baby's preference, it's best to start with the Natural bottle nipple. This is generally the most well-accepted.
