The dynamic teat contains several layers of silicone of different thicknesses. This causes the teat to stretch and contract with your baby's sucking rhythm. This makes the Prime pacifier safe and effective in supporting your baby's natural sucking needs. The symmetrical shape of the teat mimics the mother's nipple for a familiar and safe feeling.

In the Prime collection, the shield curves slightly outwards from the face for minimal contact with your baby's sensitive skin. The shield feels silky smooth and imitates the softness of mummy's skin.

The Prime pacifier is made of high-quality silicone and is taste and odour free. This is extremely important for babies who are initially sensitive to external stimuli. Thanks to the special curve in the shield, your baby can breathe freely through the nose during use. Prime pacifiers are extra lightweight and do not put any strain on your baby's mouth.
Advice: replace the teat every 6 weeks. Pull the sucking section daily to check the teat is undamaged. Is the soother damaged? Replace it immediately.

Difrax has three sorts of pacifiers. The Natural, Dental and the Dynamic pacifier. The sucking section of the Natural pacifier and Dynamic pacifier has a flat base, while the end of the silicone sucking section is round and oval. We call this symmetrical. This means that the pacifier is readily accepted, especially by breast-feeding children. The pacifier is also suitable for children who like to rotate the pacifier in their mouth. This pacifier is exactly the same each way up.
Dental
The teat on the Difrax Dental pacifier also has a flat base and the end of the teat has one flat side that provides the tongue with a better grip when sucking. The Dental pacifier stimulates the development of the palate and the tongue and jaw muscles. The rounded part of the teat lies against the palate, and the flat part presses on the tongue. Good for children who need this, or for those who reject the Natural pacifier shape.
Dynamic and Natural
The Dynamic pacifier has an oval end, just like the Difrax Natural pacifier. What makes the Dynamic pacifier different is the material, which consists of different silicone layers with small silicone balls on top. The mobility of the silicone layers promotes your baby’s natural sucking rhythm. The silicone balls on the sucking part imitate the mother’s nipple, which is why the Dynamic pacifier is perfect for breast-fed children.
Every child has their own pacifier preference, and all three types are equally responsible. Depending on what your child prefers you can use either a Natural, Dental or the Dynamic pacifier. Unsure what your child prefers? We then advise choosing the Natural or Dynamic variant in the first instance.
How do I switch from the standard Dynamic pacifier to the Prime?
The Prime collection is available in 3 different sizes 0-6M, 6-18M and 18M+. These sizes differ slightly from the standard Difrax LOVI collections, such as Baby Shower, Harmony, Botanic and Night & Day.
- Is your baby 0-3 months old and have you been using the standard Difrax LOVI 0-3M pacifier until now? If so, we recommend switching to the Difrax LOVI Prime 0-6M.
- Is your baby 3-6 months old and have you been using the standard Difrax LOVI 3-6M pacifier until now? If so, we recommend switching to the Difrax LOVI Prime 6-18M (it is the same size).
What makes the Prime pacifier so special?
From birth, sucking plays an important role in your baby's development. A pacifier fulfils this need and helps regulate appetite, calms emotions and provides a sense of security. The pacifier should not disrupt the natural sucking reflex or adversely affect the development of the teeth.
Difrax LOVI has therefore developed a special dynamic pacifier collection that is safe for the sucking reflex and the development of speech and bite habits.
Thanks to the dynamic design, the teat of the pacifier moves according to your baby's natural sucking rhythm. The teat is symmetrical and has a flat shape to closely imitate a mother's nipple. This gives your baby a familiar and safe feeling. The dynamic teat with its narrow base provides ample space for the jaws to close and move freely during use. The tongue also has enough space in the mouth to function optimally (such as when swallowing), reducing the risk of bite and speech problems.
How does the Dynamic suction section work?
The soft silicone layers ensure the teat stretches when your baby sucks. After the suction movement, the sucking section shrinks back to its basic position. The natural sucking reflex is protected and not disturbed in this way. This is an important advantage, especially for breastfed babies.
