The pumping session consists of 2 phases and has 3 modes: stimulation mode, expression mode and intensive mode. The modes are based on the baby’s natural sucking rhythm. Each mode has 8 levels to adjust the suction power to meet your preferences and needs. The soft silicone inner shell fits snugly on the breast and supports smooth pumping.

The Hands-free Breast Pump is discreet and quiet – no more than 50 decibels – allowing you to express milk wherever you are, even at night.

The milk container has a measuring indicator (max. 120 ml) to keep track of how much milk you are expressing. The special opening in the collection container makes it easy to pour off the expressed milk. The container can be opened for thorough cleaning, ensuring extra hygiene.

The breast pump is easy to operate, while the display shows the current mode, level and battery charge level. And the pump remembers the last used settings, which always comes in handy.

Important: The display is not waterproof. The Hands-free Breast Pump is a hygiene product. This is why every package is sealed. The pump cannot be returned once the packaging has been opened.

Note: The parts of the breast pump are not dishwasher safe.

What are the modes and levels?

The Difrax Hands-free Breast Pump has three modes. Stimulation mode: Stimulates the milk reflex through quick and surface-level sucking to initiate the milk flow. Expression mode: Once the milk starts to flow, you can manually switch to a slower pumping mode. Intensive mode: This is the most powerful mode and uses long, deep sucking to express the milk. Each mode consists of 8 levels of suction power to meet your wishes and needs.

How do I choose the right breast shield size?

A properly fitting inner shield is important for comfortable and efficient pumping. Choosing the correct size allows for smooth milk expression. It is important to know that the diameter of the nipple determines the size of the inner shield, not the size of the breast.

Measuring the nipple is very simple:

Use a measuring tape or ruler to measure the diameter of the nipple at the base, excluding the areola. Read the size in millimeters (mm).

Select the appropriate breast shield based on the measurement:

Nipple diameter 13–15 mm → inner shield 17 mm
Nipple diameter 15–17 mm → inner shield 19 mm
Nipple diameter 17–19 mm → inner shield 21 mm
Nipple diameter 20–22 mm → inner shield 24 mm

It may happen that the other breast requires a different size. Measure both nipples.

How do I pump with the Difrax Hands-free Breast Pump?

Read the user manual beforehand. Before first use, disinfect the milk container, valve, and membrane chamber for a maximum of 5 minutes in boiling water. Make sure all parts are fully submerged. Let the parts cool on a clean cloth.

Assemble the breast pump and place it in your nursing bra. Keep your upper body upright while pumping. Do not lean more than 45° forward or backward.

Finished pumping? Carefully and gently remove the pump from your bra. Do not invert the breast pump during use! Thanks to the opening in the milk container, you can easily pour the expressed milk into a bottle or a breast milk storage bag.
