Take a look into my day as a design intern
Good morning!
My day starts at 8:30 when I get off the train in Bilthoven and walk to the Difrax office. I always say hello to the guys in the warehouse, and then I walk to the office. There, I drop off my bag, turn on my iMac, and get a cup of tea to wake up further.
Every Monday is a week-start meeting. We do this via Zoom. Sometimes someone gives a presentation about their work, sometimes it's a group assignment where we discuss each other's summer vacation plans. It's often a fun and informative way to start my Monday morning.

Varied work
My work involves a wide variety of tasks. Sometimes I get to take product photos, sometimes I get to collaborate on packaging modifications, and other times I'm working on an icon for the Instagram page. I also create the images that are posted on social media. That involves a lot of work. I keep track of everything on the Trello board, where I've created a card for each project.

Festive lunch
On a normal day, I always have my lunch in the "canteen" downstairs. I often make a grilled cheese sandwich there and have a cup of soup for lunch. But every now and then, we have a department lunch. The departments take turns organizing lunches or drinks. These often have their own theme. Ours, for example, was "disco." Each month, one group organizes the drinks and one organizes the lunch. So, it's definitely a very sociable affair.

Looking back
My favorite thing to do this time was helping out at the trade fair. It's truly an experience I'll never forget. I also love taking photos in the small photo room, with all the materials available. The best part of my photography assignments was, of course, putting together the Wall of Fame. I took pictures of everyone, cut them out, and pasted them on the bulletin board. Now everyone who walks into the Difrax building can immediately see who's who and which department they're in. I've had a lot of fun photographing everyone, and the results are impressive.
These six months have flown by incredibly quickly. I almost didn't realize the time was passing so quickly. I look back on a very educational time. Educational, but also very enjoyable. I'll definitely miss the team, and I'm sure I'll always remember that time.
