Extra soft bottle nipple

The choice of the right teat is at least as important as the choice of the right anti-colic baby bottle. For the anti-colic S-bottle, Difrax has developed a silicone teat with a soft coating, providing your child with extra grip and making it easy for them to drink. This teat is particularly well accepted by newborns. All teats are, of course, BPA-free, odourless, and tasteless, with no risk of latex allergy.

Each baby their own bottle teat

Difrax bottle teats are available in sizes S, M and L. Difrax also has an XS Dosing Teat for the very smallest and a 1-2-3 Dosing Teat. The size indicates the size of the hole in the bottle teat. Your baby should take approximately 15-20 minutes to finish a feed. If this is the case, you are probably using the correct size.

Wide bottle teats in S, M, L and XL

With the 1-2-3 teat you can dose the amount of food. This way you can determine your baby's drinking speed, even during feeding.
Available for the narrow (Natural) and wide (Wide) S-bottle.

Specially shaped teats for young babies who choke or drink too quickly.
The teat distributes food more effectively in the mouth.

How do I choose the right Difrax bottle teat for my baby?

The type of Difrax bottle teat you should choose depends on your baby's preference. Difrax offers three types of bottle teats:

Natural bottle teats with soft coating for the Natural baby bottle. These narrow, nipple-shaped bottle teats closely resemble the mother's breast and are therefore best accepted.

Dental bottle teats for the Natural baby bottle. The Dental bottle teat is suitable for babies with reflux, babies who choke easily, babies who drink too quickly, or premature babies. The Dental bottle teat has a flat side, allowing the feed to spread better in the mouth.

Wide bottle teats with soft coating for the Wide baby bottle. These wide bottle teats are most suitable for babies who prefer to open their mouths wider.

If you're unsure of your baby's preference, it's best to start with the Natural bottle teat, as it's generally the most accepted.

How do I clean and sterilize Difrax bottle teats?

For first-time use, we recommend boiling or sterilizing pacifiers, bottle teats, and baby bottles to ensure all bacteria are killed.
For subsequent uses, there are various methods:

Cleaning with hot water and mild detergent
Rinse the bottle teat with cold water first, as proteins coagulate above 40°C, making it more difficult to clean. Then clean the bottle teat under the tap with hot water and mild detergent. Difrax detergent is specially developed for baby products.

To clean the inside of the bottle teats thoroughly and easily, you can use the small brush in the bottle brush.

Cleaning in the dishwasher
Rinse the bottle teat with cold water first to prevent protein coagulation. Then place it in the top rack of the dishwasher and select a program of up to 55°C.

Cleaning in the sterilizer
Difrax has a microwave sterilizer. Various bottle teats fit in the microwave sterilizer. Instructions can be found under the 'Microwave sterilizer' section.
